Volunteering

So Why Become a Volunteer?

Do you find working with people rewarding?

Would you like to make use of your experiences to help support others?

Would you like to develop your skills and confidence whilst gaining valuable experience to enhance your CV?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions we would like to talk to you.

Volunteering in Wiltshire Mind is a great opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and become part of your independent, local mental health charity.

We offer you:

  •  the chance to learn new skills and widen your experience
  •  training and support
  •  a reference about the work undertaken when you move into further education or related employment
  •  out of pocket expenses, good practice and a safe working environment

We ask you:

  • to be a reliable and committed volunteer
  • to uphold Wiltshire Mind's Volunteer Code of Conduct & Volunteer Agreement
  • To share the aims and values of  Wiltshire Mind

Who Can be a Volunteer?

We welcome volunteers of all ages and from all backgrounds.  What we are looking for is your life experience and willingness to help others.

What  can you do to help?

  • Become a Trustee
  • Raise awareness of Wiltshire Mind by manning our information stands at local events
  • Be an active fundraiser while having fun yourself
  • Offer one-to-one support to client members
  • Volunteer within a group
  • Become a counsellor
