Friends of Wiltshire Mind

The next meeting of the Friends of Wiltshire Mind is on Thursday 1 March at 2pm at Munroes in Chippenham.  Since last July Friends have raised over £2000 and are now planning the fundraising programme for 2012.  If you would like to help raise funds for Wiltshire Mind while at the same time meeting new people and having a good time please join us at Munroes or for more information please ring Carolyn on 01225 706532

Art Therapy course

Members of Chippenham You in Mind Centre will be able to attend a new Art Therapy course from Monday 19 September.  It will run at the same time as the group from 10.00am until 1.00pm and will be led by Lucy Hepworth, Art Psychotherapist.

The group has been made possible with the generous support of Chippenham Borough Lands Trust and the Chippenham Area Board for which we thank them.

THANK YOU!

Friends of Wiltshire Mind have just bought us a new display board to take out to events to raise awareness of what we do.  this is a very important aspect of our work and we are very grateful.  They also continue to raise funds for us - see the news on the jumble sale.

Since June the Friends of Wiltshire Mind have raised £1545 with a variety of activities.   If you would like to join them the next meeting is on Thursday 20 October at Munroe's in Chippenham at 2pm.  You will be made very welcome.

Lin's Summer Garden Party

 On 25 July the Mayor of Malmesbury, Steve Cox, opened Lin's Summer Garden Party.  The Friends of Wiltshire Mind helped organise and run the afternoon and there were raffles, a cake stall, bric a brac and a plant stall (thank you, Ruth).  During the afternoon the Athelstan Players entertained us and got everyone singing along.  

The weather was not brilliant but it turned out to be a very enjoyable afternoon which raised a brilliant £255.55.  Thankyou to Lin and Trevor for their hospitality and to everyone who helped and supported us.

Wiltshire Mind Sponsored Walk

On 15 June walkers from Wiltshire Mind set off from the Town Bridge in Chippenham to tackle either a two mile or six mile walk designed to suit all abilities and inclinations.  

There was an information stand on the Bridge and collectors in the High Street.  After the walk everyone got together for a shared picnic in the park.

It was a most enjoyable day and so far has raised £563.15 including an amazing £262.70 from Neil.  Thank you to everyone who got involved and supported us.
