Charity Challenge

If you are looking for a different way of raising money for Wiltshire Mind, why not set up a charity challenge?

You can do anything from including a sponsored walk or bike ride, running a marathon, a parachute jump, Three Peaks Challenge etc. The choice is yours! All you need to do is choose the activity, get in touch with us to talk through the target and start raising money.

Charity challenges have become very popular in recent years. Not only do they allow you to achieve the unthinkable, but also do it in style - by raising money for a great cause.

Where can I find ideas for challenges?

There are many organisations which specialise in charity challenges such as those mentioned above. You can find them online. Please make sure you shop around to find the activities which most appeal to you and your needs. If you have a unique idea, which no-one else has thought of please get in touch!

How early do I need to start raising money?

This depends on what you target is and how much time you need to prepare yourself for the challenge. If, for example, you were to raise say £3000 by climbing Kilimanjaro, you might need a year to train and raise the amount. But if you're planning to walk for a mile dressed as a penguin and raise £100, you might need only a week to do it!

How much money do I need to collect?

It depends on how tough is your challenge, how much you think is realistic for you to raise and how much time you've got to get the money. Please speak to us and/or the event organisers for advice.

Will Wiltshire Mind support me?

You can speak to us at any time about how you're doing with the donations and any problems you come across. We can help you set up a fundraising page on our charity fundraising website. If you need money boxes, advice on money-raising ideas etc - we're here to help you. If you have any questions regarding the challenge itself, please speak to the organisers for guidance.
