Business Support

Whether you are a small local firm, a large multi-national company or something in between, WILTSHIRE MIND NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!

Input from the business community is very welcome. There are many ways to contribute! Below are just a few. You can probably think of others!

  • Choose Wiltshire Mind for a one-off or regular company donation (which can be set off against tax).

  • Launch your own employee fundraising programme. For example, Payroll Giving is a simple, tax efficient way for employees to donate to Wiltshire Mind.

  • Nominate Wiltshire Mind as your company's Charity of the Year.

  • Donate shares. Since April 1, 2000 companies can get corporation tax relief for gifts to charity of shares, securities and other types of investment. This relief is in addition to relief from Corporation Tax on capital gains on gifts to charity of shares, securities and other assets.

  • Invite Wiltshire Mind to give presentations to your staff and customers about how employers can help employees with mental health issues. 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental illness during their lifetime - that's a quarter of the population! Stress at work is a key factor especially in the current economic climate.

  • If you can't give financial support, consider providing your company's services to Wiltshire Mind. For example, marketing, HR or legal expertise, IT support, or by allowing your employees to give their skills and knowledge via an Employees Volunteering Scheme.

Supporting Wiltshire Mind will provide your company with a range of outstanding opportunities:

  • to demonstrate that your company has its roots in the local community

  • to enhance its reputation by supporting a local and national charity

  • to have your company's support acknowledged in Wiltshire Mind publicity materials and on our website

  • to raise awareness of your company's commitment to alleviating the stigma attached to mental illness

  • for your key decision-makers to attend Wiltshire Mind and National Mind events

  • for your employees to get involved in worthwhile charitable work

  • for positive media coverage that comes through working with a local and national charity
